We arrived at Bills Bar soaked to the bone...

...yet this didn't keep us from enjoying our front-row spot. Mike was looking like Mike - the only difference from the times I'd seen him before is the added nappiness that made his hair that much more like Mike. Only he could pull that off.

What can I say? I'm never disappointed with a Mike Errico show. He never ceases to impress me. The only complaint Tim had was that he didn't play long enough. He only played 5 songs. Among them:

Springtime - always a great song... the lyrics (hell, all of his lyrics) are unique and so perfect - "Still entwined in your arms, barely reaching the alarm, I feel the breeze still and slow". I can close my eyes and be right there...

Daylight - one song that always draws the crowd to their feet (if they're not already there) and their hands together. These lyrics are a hoot and a half. Mike explained to us that he was in New Haven, Connecticut the night before where Mike could remember playing at TGIFriday's singing love songs that he wrote for his ex-girlfriend while she made-out with her current boyfriend. Youch! So, he explains, Daylight is for her... "You're new piece of cheese looks suspiciously like me I guess my worst qualities were the ones that you liked...If
my life were a movie you'd be buried in the credits, you'd be woman number two with her head up her ass...You're secrets buried here with with me - I know what you smell like"

Someday - I hadn't heard mike perform live since my first mike experience, so it was certainly a treat!!

Of course yes, I was a wimp-o-la and didn't meet Mike once again. someday.
